Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will warmly be met by our representative and transfer you to your place of stay in Arusha for dinner and an overnight.

Day 1 Arusha Airport – Karatu District

Upon arrival at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides who will escort you to Karatu Town for your reserved hotel. If you will have time and energy, on the way you will have some stops and he will introduce you to this wonderful city and country.

In the past, the area around Karatu and OlDeani was of great importance to the German colonial administration. The area’s cool climate, verdant hills, and pleasing views make it popular with settlers and farmers. Coffee was the main crop grown for export, and a few large farms that remained in private hands still cultivated the cash crop on the hills and small valleys outside of town. Karatu offers splendid views of the northern highlands and is a popular base for visitors on their way to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.

Day 2 Karatu - Serengeti National Park

The exciting sounds of Africa will rise from your sleep, marking the beginning of an exciting day. You will set off early in the morning for a thrilling afternoon of observing wildlife in the famous Serengeti. Get ready for an exhilarating game drive through the vast Serengeti National Park and enjoy a delightful picnic lunch along the way.

The word "Serengeti" comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains." These expansive grasslands are home to many predators, such as over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! Numerous other magnificent animals inhabit these plains, and your knowledgeable guide will be excited to search for them with you.

Day 3 Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll collect lunch boxes and proceed to a game drive while heading to the Northern part of Serengeti where you will stay for 2 days. You will move around the area of Bologonja and Mara River to witness the great Wildebeest migration.

In Northern Serengeti around July to September, thousands of wildebeests and zebras battle the strong currents and huge Nile crocodiles to reach the other side of the river, where they will head to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Day 4 Serengeti North – Central Serengeti National Park

You'll have breakfast then collect lunch boxes and proceed with game drives in Serengeti National Park. You will keep exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of large predators and the gentle herbivorous. Today you will stay overnight in the central Serengeti.

The word Serengeti stems from the Maasai language and means endless plains. Many predators roam these vast grasslands; over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you.

Day 5 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

After a tasty breakfast, you will collect picnic lunches. Today, you will visit one of the seven African wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater, created when a huge volcano erupted two million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem. The crater has the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. Nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhinos.

Day 6 Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

You'll have breakfast and gather your lunch boxes as you proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Today, you will have the chance to witness the breathtaking view of Lake Manyara, observe elephants up close in the woodlands, and visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool where numerous hippos reside from early morning until late evening.

Lake Manyara National Park offers a magnificent view of the 400-meter-deep Great Rift Valley. This geological wonder, formed around 22 to 25 million years ago, stretches thousands of kilometers throughout East Africa. The valley's immense size allows it to be seen from outer space, and it boasts a variety of unique landscapes that attract a diverse range of animal species. Apart from Lake Manyara itself, the park is home to dense rainforests teeming with monkeys and a multitude of bird species. After a great day in Lake Manyara National Park, your driver guide will transfer you to Arusha for drop-off.

Kilimanjaro Trip via Marangu Route I hiked Kilimanjaro in December 2022 and it was an awesome experience thanks to the good organization of the trip from George! I had the best Crew and guide with me, helping to reach the Uhuru peak! I will never forget this adventure. Also the day trip to the Materuni waterfalls included in my package was very nice and I really enjoyed. I can recommend to visit Materuni villages and see how coffee is locally produced!

Best Time to Travel

The best time for a Tanzania safari largely depends on what you hope to experience. If witnessing the Great Migration in the Serengeti is your goal, then the dry season from late June to October is ideal, as the animals gather in search of water. However, if you’re interested in birdwatching or avoiding crowds, the wet season from November to May might be more appealing.

During this time, the landscapes are lush and green, and you may catch the birthing season, witnessing adorable baby animals taking their first steps. Ultimately, the best time for a Tanzania safari is when it aligns with your interests and preferences, as each season offers its unique charms and wildlife experiences.
