From Childhood Dreams to Summit Sunrises
My name is George Temba, and Nyamera Treks and Safaris is the result of a lifelong dream. I was born and raised in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, where I was inspired by the beauty of the mountain, the rich wildlife, and the vibrant culture of the Chagga people.
From a young age, I developed a deep love for nature and adventure. I eventually became a mountain guide, helping people from around the world reach the summit of Kilimanjaro – the Roof of Africa.
But my dream didn’t stop there. I wanted to share more of Tanzania’s magic – from the endless plains of the Serengeti to the hidden wonders of Tarangire and Ruaha. I also wanted to give back to local communities and help protect our environment.
That’s how Nyamera was born – a company built by passionate Tanzanian travel experts and international friends, dedicated to creating unforgettable journeys across Tanzania.

Is an international mountaineering adventure guide who has been guiding with over (20) twenty years of experience in competitive athletics and wilderness guiding. His lead guide experience includes hiking, mountain biking, orienteering, canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting. As your guide, Will strives to create and share once in a life time adventures in the most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes in the world including Kilimanjaro, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon and the red rocks of Sedona–where he lived for 7 years and has extensive knowledge of the area.
For the past decade, Will has combined his passion for the outdoors and Crossfit to create some very unique wilderness adventures including Full Moon Hiking and Hidden Gem Hiking in Arizona USA.
In 2015 Will took a trip to Tanzania with fellow Veterans to Africa to climb one of the seven summits of the world– Mount Kilimanjaro. Ever since he set foot on African soil, his heart was so excited as he was inspired by the amazing people and environment.
Will found himself working with local Tanzania adventure expert George after his first trip to Africa, “I met George in 2015 on my first trip to Tanzania and he is a fantastic guy. I’m really excited to have his experience, expertise and knowledge of the mountain”. He has a great team to support our effort and maximize our chances of success.
Will has inspired and influenced many Americans adventurer to join the Mount Kilimanjaro adventure in Tanzania, the world’s highest free-standing mountains, on the most memorable once in a lifetime adventure.
