6 Day Safari to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Tarangire
This 6/5-night days Tanzania northern safari you will exploring most of the famous Tanzania northern national parks. ARRIVE IN TANZANIA
Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will drive you to the hotel and brief about the activities in the coming days. You will get first-hand information about the rules while on camping safaris, safety and of course the attractions you are about to experience. Later you should use time to rest and prepare for the morning departure to Tarangire national park.
DAY 1: MOSHI/ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA
Transport will be provided from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha. A delightful drive will take you to Lake Manyara, where you’ll have lunch and experience a one-of-a-kind game drive in the afternoon. Before nightfall you will be taken back to your accommodation for dinner served by the lake, and you will spend the night at the same location in preparation for day two.
DAY 2: MANYARA – SERENGETI
Breakfast will be served before your journey to Serengeti begins. The route we’ll be using passes through Olduvai Gorge, the site where man’s oldest footprints are discovered. A game drive through Serengeti National Park will give you the opportunity to see wild animals in their element. After the game drive, you will head to your accommodation for the night at Serengeti, where dinner will also be served.
DAY 3: SERENGETI
There is nothing quite like a full day spent exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. There will be a morning game drive after breakfast, an afternoon game drive after lunch, and dinner in the wild after dusk. An overnight stay at the Serengeti will relax you before next day journey.
DAY 4: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO
You will wake up to your preferred beverage (tea or coffee) after which we embark on an early morning game drive. Departure from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater will be after the game drive and breakfast. The route to Ngorongoro is scenic, enriched with wildlife. The drive will be a great opportunity to view wild animals before you get to your accommodation, where you will have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER
Breakfast will be followed by a drive to the crater. Lunch will be served inside the crater before return to your accommodation for dinner and a good night’s rest. The Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding highlands together form one of Africa’s most beautiful attractions for wildlife. You will descend 610 meters into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino as well as wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle and of course, giant tusked elephants. The Crater also has the largest known population of lions and you will also find leopards and cheetahs as well as scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and these include white pelicans and flamingos.
DAY 6: NGORONGORO – TARANGIRE-MOSHI/ARUSHA
Breakfast will be served before you embark on journey to Tarangire, a drive that is about 2 hours long. Boxed lunch will be provided before you leave for Moshi/Arusha in the late afternoon.
Today you may have a plan to fly home or have a flight to Zanzibar; our vehicle will be ready to take you to the airport at perfect time to catch your flight.
