4 Days Camping Safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater
OverviewThis 4 Days Tanzania camping safari will take you to Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro conservation area authority and one of majestic land of African elephants, and Lake Manyara national park depending on which will be better viewing of wild animals at that particular seasonal time. You will have highly chance to spot all the big five on the northern tourism circuit zone.
ARRIVE IN TANZANIA
Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will drive you to the accommodation in arusha and brief about the activities in the coming days. You will get first hand information about the rules while on camping safaris, safety and of course the attractions you are about to experience. Later you should use time to rest and prepare for the morning departure to Tarangire national park.
DAY 1: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE
After breakfast we will drive you to Tarangire National park, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually heard of elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. In the evening drive back to the camp for overnight.
DAY 2: TARANGIRE – LAKE MANYARA
After an early breakfast, your journey continues toward Lake Manyara national park. This park is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara, the seasonal breeding grounds for large colonies of flamingos and many more waterfowls. The park is also home to giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas and groups of noisy monkeys and baboons. In the late afternoon you will return to the Simba campsite for dinner and good night’s sleep.
DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA – MTO WA MBU
After an early breakfast at your camp, you will drive down a precipitous trail into the underground water forest in Lake Manyara for a half day game drive. Later in the afternoon you will head out of lake Manyara National Park and drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural experience where you will get to learn and experience the local life of the people at Mto wa mbu. In the evening drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: LAKE MANYARA – NGORONGORO CRATER
Today after early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro then you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater considered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. Late afternoon you will be transferred to Arusha or Moshi.
Today you may have a plan to fly home or have a flight to Zanzibar; our vehicle will be ready to take you to the airport at perfect time to catch your flight.
